Cell Model
Cell structures are a key aspect of Biology, but being able to visualize them may be difficult, especially since there are two types of cells – Prokaryotes and Eukaryotes. In most Biology classrooms, animal and plant cells, which are Eukaryotic, are typically modeled due to their complex make up. In order to understand the structural differences between these two types, 3D models are often used in classrooms to help students visualize them. However, models are typically around $80, and they still lack the ability to provide hand-on learning. These 3D printed designs allow for an interactive demonstration, in which students can construct their own cells and observe the similarities and differences between animal and plant cells.
